Mark 10:45ESV

Opening Worship Songs
  • Jesus! What a Friend for Sinners - Hymn #244
  • I'm Forever Grateful
  • Your Great Name
Confession of Our Christian Faith

Pastor: Why is the Son of God called Jesus, that is, Savior?

Congregation: Because He saves us from all our sins, and because salvation is not to be sought or found in anyone else.

Pastor: What does it benefit us to know that God has created all things and still upholds them by His providence?

Congregation: No. Though they boast of Him in words, they in fact deny the only Savior Jesus. For one of two things must be true: either Jesus is not a complete Savior, or those who by true faith accept this Savior must find in Him all that is necessary for their salvation.

Update on Gary Woods

Thank you for your prayers!

I went into the hospital on July 19th for two procedures. First, TEE

(Transesophageal Echocardiography), which checked for blood clots in my heart. They did not find any, so they proceeded with the Cardioversion (where they shock the heart in hopes of it returning to sinus rhythm). I had been in Afib ( irregular heart rhythm, that was causing mild heart failure).

Success

The procedure was successful!! My heart returned to sinus rhythm. I am resting and doing as instructed by the doctor. Many times the heart will return to Afib, so please pray that it stays in sinus rhythm. I will see the doctor on August 7th. We are scheduled to return to Tanzania in September if all continues well.

It is so wonderful to have so many friends and supporters who are standing with us during this time of uncertainty. We look forward to returning to Tanzania and continuing the ministry that God has called us to.

Love and Blessings,

Gary and Judy Woods
