• INFO FOR THIS SUNDAY!

    Good Afternoon, Church Family!

I hope your week has been full of hope and anticipation as we look forward to celebrating the Lord’s Supper. You can listen to last Sunday’s sermon HERE. I know these last few days have been charged and challenging for many – the world feels heavy right now. Given that, I’m eager to share with you this Sunday’s message as we consider the idea of “coming home” from quarantine. (Please see our service updates below for important information about this Sunday.)

    MISSIONARY UPDATE

Several months back, we had the pleasure of hosting Haitian missionaries, the Aristides family. After much input from those who attended their presentation and leadership discussion, we would like to support their mission. We look forward to sharing more details on how, but are excited to add them to our Missions Ministry.

    WEEKLY EVENTS

Tonight will be our last online Zoom prayer meeting. Meeting ID: 859 5055 5231 Password: 050181. For the time being, we will keep our Ladies Bible Study and Adult Bible Study online. Teens will begin meeting at the church beginning June 10th, and Men's Sharpening will meet at the Wood's home (13765 US-24, Leadville, CO 80461, USA) Friday mornings, 6:00am. Please visit our events page for more information.

    SERVICES UPDATE

The Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment as well as the CDC have recently published certain requirements for churches to abide by during this pandemic. With these recommendations in place as our guide, we are planning to reopen in person this Sunday, June 7th.

ONLINE - We intend to continue streaming our services online, so if you feel more comfortable participating from home for the time being, please find us on the following platforms: YouTube, Facebook, Faithlife, and Twitch.

IN-PERSON -For those planning on attending our in-person services, please prepare for the following:

    SOCIAL DISTANCING:

    • Seating has been marked off in the sanctuary to allow for appropriate distance between families.

    CLEANING PRACTICES:

    • Facilities will be cleaned and sanitized between services.
    • There will hand sanitizer available; please take some.
    • Our foyer coffee station has been temporarily removed to reduce transmission risks.

    MASKS:

    • Face masks/coverings are required, please bring your own; we’ll have some extras available.
    • Children 2 and under, those with trouble breathing, or those unable to remove a mask without assistance should not wear a mask.

    OFFERING & COMMUNION:

    • We won’t be passing offering plates around during the service but will instead have an offering box.
    • Communion will be managed by our deacons, (no passing of the elements) with the intent of a contact free distribution.

    CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS:

    • There will not be any nursery for the time being.
    • We will not offer our usual crayons and coloring sheets to reduce the risk of transmission.
    • We will offer Children’s Church during the service and Sunday School during the Q&A, both in the basement following social distancing policies and sanitary practices. For questions, please contact Andrew Riggs.

    PERSONAL CONSIDERATIONS:

    • If you are feeling ill, please stay home. We will miss you, but we’d rather you didn’t share!
    • If you are considered “high risk”, we encourage you to consider staying home. You are responsible to make the best decisions for the health of you and your family. (We’ll still offer our services online)

Thank you all for your prayers, encouragement, and patience during this time of challenge and upheaval. We have done our best to seek God for wisdom and discernment in navigating how to faithfully lead our FBC community. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

    God Bless,

    - Tanner
