1 Celebration Time
Come celebrate our ministries on Sunday, January 29, when we gather for our annual meeting. This year, we’ll gather downstairs after worship for food and fellowship, along with presentations by your ministry teams. You’ll also affirm the pastor’s terms of call (i.e. salary package) for 2023 and elect two new elders. The elder-nominees this year are Sarah Petramala and Joey Gacnik.
2 Jesus A to Z: O is for the Old Testament
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God” (John 1:1), but how? Where is Jesus in the Old Testament? Find out this Sunday, as Jesus A to Z continues with “O is for the Old Testament,” with readings from Matthew 1:1-17 and John 1:1-5. Our super-special music will be Jacob Stanley Gacnik on trumpet, playing, “On Christ the Solid Rock I Stand.”
3 Junction Kids update
Junction Kids happens every Wednesday from February 8-April 5. Kids begin gathering after school until 4:20 p.m., when we kick off our time together. They’ll finish up at 5:30 p.m. Kids (K-5th grade) travel to stations including Art, Drama, Music, Science, Computers, Cooking, Movie-making, and Games. Our eight weeks ends in celebration on April 5, when parents and families will be invited to join them. 4 Operation Christmas Child
The new year is here and with it comes another opportunity to reach kids around the world with the good news of Jesus Christ. We will start collecting soap first. Please pick mild soaps, Ivory is great. Sorry to all those Irish Spring users but when confined to the storage cabinets and the shoeboxes, it gets pretty pungent! We like to include 2 bars per shoebox, so we will need close to 200 bars.
