Opening Prayer
Opening Hymn #446 Glorious Things of Thee Are Spoken
Call to Confession
Before we can hear God’s truth spoken in love, we must free ourselves from all that obstructs us from honestly acknowledging our wrongdoing. Let us examine or hearts and confess our sins to God.
Prayer of Confession (Unison)
Nurturing God, like a hen gathers her brood under her wings, you desire to gather your children. But division and disagreement plague us. We cling to rigid certainties, approach each other in arrogance, and fail to listen. We walk away from conflict, rather than working through it. Forgive us, Holy God. Help us grow in faith, mature in relationship, and be transformed through your steadfast love. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon

Anthem Peace Dave & Jean Perry
Pacem, pax hominibus, a word, a thought, a hope, a dream.
Amani (peace), heiwa, paz, shalom (peace), a light, a star, a shining beam.
The universal dream throughout the ages past,
the hope of generations yet to come:
To live in harmony, united hand in hand,
in peace, peace for all in every land.
Pacem, pax hominibus, just a word, a prayer heard from birth.
Pace, friede, mir, salaam, peace to all the people of the earth.
Give us peace (give us peace); live in peace (live in peace).
Let the peace within our hearts shine steady through each day.
Pray for peace (pray for peace), perfect peace (perfect peace).
Let us work and never rest 'til peace becomes the way.

Hymn #2162 Grace Alone
Affirmation of Faith- Apostles’ Creed- (Page 14 in Blue Hymnal)
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth,
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
