Opening Prayer
Gathering O Lord, Hear My Prayer
O Lord, hear my prayer.
O Lord, hear my prayer.
When I call, answer me.
O Lord, hear my prayer.
O Lord, hear my prayer.
Come and listen to me.
Call to Worship
We come to join with all the earth in praise:
to sing a new song to the Lord,
who has done marvelous things,
who has shown us steadfast love and faithfulness.
We praise the Lord with joyful noises
joining the symphony of the earth:
the roar of the ocean,
the call of the birds,
the wind across the hills,
people in every corner of the globe.
On this sabbath day of rest and gladness,
we greet you with joy, our living God!
Opening Hymn #483 Sing Praise to God, Who Reigns Above
Prayer of Confession
Tender God, forgive us for our half-hearted faith that loves only when it is easy, and reaches out only to those who are like us, that ignores your less convenient commandments and fails to bear fruit anyone would rejoice in. How can a faith like that conquer the world? Nourish us again, to blossom with whole-hearted faith that abides in your love and shines forth with joy. Through the grace of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon

Children's Sermon
Children are invited to go to Children’s Worship with our Children’s Worship Leader. Children will return to their parents during the final hymn.
Prayers of the People & The Lord's Prayer
Hymn #366 Jesus, Thy Boundless Love to Me
Scripture Reading: Acts 10:44-48
Anthem Eden's Song Beverly Easterling/Trad. English/ Mark Schweizer
A memory of Eden stirs,
and walks within the warmth of spring.
It whispers every hope God has
to Life Eternal, listening.
Stretch past the gloom of winter's grey,
unfurl by faith and not by sight,
to touch the light of lengthening day
that calls thee forth to green delight.
The season of new growth begins,
embrace the promise we all share,
lift every voice and celebrate the Living God,
who's always there.
Scripture Reading: John 15:9-17
Sermon
Apostles’ Creed (Traditional)- Page 14 in Blue Hymnal
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth,
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
