Opening Prayer & Gathering #738 O Master, Let Me Walk with Thee, vs. 1
O Master, let me walk with thee in lowly paths of service free; tell me thy secret; help me bear the strain of toil, the fret of care.
Call to Worship
Our gracious God has created us and called us his own.
Let us worship the triune God.
Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, has redeemed our lives.
Let us worship the triune God.
The Holy Spirit sustains and guides us all the days of our lives.
In gratitude and joy, let us worship the triune God!
Opening Hymn #1 Holy, Holy, Holy
(Please remain standing through the sung response)
Call to Confession
God calls us, again and again, to turn from all that separates us from the Divine and to return to God’s path. Let us, then, name the ways we have sinned in wandering from God, relying on God’s mercy to forgive and renew us.
Prayer of Confession
Look deep, loving God, and see us as we really are. We are a people who prefer our will to your will. We focus on things of the self and give little thought or care to others. We wander through our days giving little thought to our own discipleship, let alone our call to help others become disciples. Forgive us, God of grace. Forgive us and set us again on the path of your righteousness. Amen.
Assurance of Forgiveness and Exchange of Peace
Hear the Good News! While it is true that we have sinned, it is a greater truth that in the name of Jesus Christ we are forgiven.
Know you are forgiven and be at peace. Amen.
May the peace of Christ be with you; And also with you.
Please exchange the peace of Christ with your neighbors.
Sung Response #447 We Are Forgiven
We are forgiven. We are forgiven. Thanks be to God.
Thanks be to God. (Repeat)

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
