January 2022
Pastor's Pen
We concluded our series in the book of
Revelation last Sunday. I hope it was a
blessing to each and every one.
This Sunday, I plan to start a sermon series
through the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew
#5-7). This will be a Sunday morning series. I
plan to preach a series through 1 Timothy in
the Sunday evening services.
I pray that God will bless you all in the
coming year of 2022. One recent poll showed
that half of the people surveyed said that
2021 was the worst year of their life. It was
definitely a very trying year for many people.
It seems that every day, 2021 brought more
news stories pointing to the signs of the last
days as given in the Bible.
The elite movers and shakers of this world
do not know what they are really doing or
why. But they are being used of Satan to
establish his agenda for this planet. But fear
not, God also has His agenda, and He will win
in the end! Christ will come one day soon to
take out His people. Are you ready?
From The Youth Pastor
January is here, a new year is in
front of us. For as long as I can
remember, this is the time of resolutions
and new beginnings. In the past,
I grimaced at New Yearʼs resolutions
and thought they were something
people did to try to redeem themselves
from a past year of bad decisions.
Although that is sometimes the
case, the new year does give us an
opportunity to start over, to recommit
ourselves to the things that matter.
This last year seemed like a
train-wreck, but there were some
great things that God brought to pass
too. We saw thousands come to
Christ through our Missionaries and
our partnership with Pre-Born. Weʼve
seen many new faces come to our
church. We have seen people finally
repent and trust Christ after countless
hours of prayer.
Letʼs be resolved to think on the
“Things that are higher, things that are
nobler”, like the old song says.
Letʼs be resolved “to follow the
Saviour, Faithful and true each day”.
I am resolving this year to be “taught
by the Bible” and “led by the spirit”
daily. I want to be closer to Christ this
year than ever before. I want to read
more scripture this year than ever
before. I want to see the gospel
presented to more people this year
than ever before. “I am resolved...
Who will go with me?”
