Welcome
We welcome you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We hope you will be encouraged and edified, having heard Biblical truth in love. Great Basin RP is a member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America, one of the oldest denominations in the United States. We are committed to the doctrines of Scripture and the formation of loving community as a necessary fruit of the Gospel. In light of the above, we believe that the most comprehensive and accurate summary of biblical teaching is found in the Westminster Confession of Faith, together with the Westminster Larger and Shorter Catechisms. These documents were completed in 1647 as a summary of Christian belief and practice, with the desired intention of helping Christ’s church become unified in doctrine, government, and worship (John 17:11). In addition to the Westminster Standards, we also maintain the Testimony of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America, which is our denomination’s own continuing and contemporary application of the Word of God to our current culture and context.

This Week’s Confessional Meditation
The Westminster Larger Catechism Questions 21-25
Q. 21. Did man continue in that estate wherein God at first created him?
A. Our first parents being left to the freedom of their own will, through the temptation of Satan, transgressed the commandment of God, in eating the forbidden fruit, and thereby fell from the estate of innocency wherein they were created. Gen. 3:6-8, 13; Eccl. 7:29; 2 Cor. 11:3.
Q. 22. Did all mankind fall in that first transgression?
A. The covenant being made with Adam, as a public person, not for himself only, but for his posterity; all mankind descending from him by ordinary generation, sinned in him, and fell with him in that first transgression. Acts 17:26; Gen. 2:16-17; Rom. 5:12-20; 1 Cor. 15:21-22.
Q. 23. Into what estate did the fall bring mankind?
A. The fall brought mankind into an estate of sin and misery. Rom. 5:12; Rom. 3:23.
Q. 24. What is sin?
A. Sin is any want of conformity unto, or transgression of, any law of God, given as a rule to the reasonable creature. 1 John 3:4; Gal. 3:10, 12.
Q. 25. Wherein consisteth the sinfulness of that estate whereinto man fell?
A. The sinfulness of that estate whereinto man fell, consisteth in the guilt of Adam’s first sin, the want of that righteousness wherein he was created, and the corruption of his nature, whereby he is utterly indisposed, disabled, and made opposite unto all that is spiritually good, and wholly inclined to all evil, and that continually; which is commonly called Original Sin, and from which do proceed all actual transgressions.
Rom. 5:12, 19; Rom. 3:10-19; Eph. 2:1-3; Rom. 5:6; Rom. 8:7-8; Gen. 6:5; Jas. 1:14-15; Matt. 15:19.

Today (6/4) – We will have a special designated offering for the PCP Next 100 Fund. In 2011, to honor our presbytery’s 100th birthday, the Pacific Coast Presbytery established the ‘Next 100 Fund’ for the purpose of helping support church planting efforts. Our official birthday is June 6, 1911. As this date approaches, would you prayerfully consider giving to this fund to help support our various missions?

Fri (6/9) – Prayer Meeting at 6PM at the Cunningham’s home.
Sat (6/10) – Rev. Ryan Hemphill (our Moderator) and RE Bus Archer will be here and would like to meet with and get to know you. We are planning an informal
