About this group
Grace Community Presbyterian Church exists to glorify the Triune God in all we do both locally and globally.
- Brothers and Sisters, I have a bit of a reputation for verbosity. Why say something once in 5 lines if you could say it 10 times in 5 pages? That's my motto! All kidding aside, I simply wanted to tell you one short thing in this brief note. God is in control! The Sovereignty of God is the biblical teaching that all things are under God's rule and control and that nothing happens without His direction or permission. Even what we are experiencing now. Scripture tells us this quite clearly. The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD. (Proverbs 16:33) Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand. (Proverbs 19:21) [God] works all things according to the counsel of his will. (Ephesians 1:11) Our God is in the heavens; he does all that he pleases. (Psalm 115:3) I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted. (Job 42:2) Additionally, the Westminster Confession of Faith articulates this sovereignty as follows, "God, from all eternity, did, by the most wise and holy counsel of his own will, freely, and unchangeably ordain whatsoever comes to pass: yet so, as thereby neither is God the author of sin, nor is violence offered to the will of the creatures; nor is the liberty or contingency of second causes taken away, but rather established." (Chapter 3.1, Of God’s Eternal Decree) In other words, God is in control! I hope that encourages you today. I love you and miss you all! Peace and Rest, Pastor Nick
- Hello from Solomon (and a brief word from his dad) As promised, you can click the link below and it will take you to a little hello from Solomon. To be honest, he was a bit distracted by a few little toys and waiting for mom to get dinner ready. But he is still cute no matter what. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrKxLSU5Alk&feature=youtu.be Also, I have one thought for you today as we continue in physical isolation from one another. And I promise it will be brief. In fact, it is not even from me, it is from Jesus. Matthew 5:13–16 “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet. “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. I will be expanding on this in greater detail this Sunday as we look at what it means to be salt and light in the world. But for right now, it is enough to remind all as God's people, that you are a blessing to those around you. Not... you can be a blessing or you should be a blessing, but you ARE a blessing to others. So rejoice in being a blessing to someone this week as you prepare for worship on Sunday. I hope to "see" you then.Hello from Solomonwww.youtube.com

Please pray.Andrea Craddock is a missionary we have supported with some one-time gifts and she has visited us on a few occasions. She lives and ministers in Prague, Czech Republic. As you probably know, the Czech Republic has instituted fairly strict measures regarding social distancing and quarantine. Because Andrea's ministry as a teacher puts her in regular contact with many international students, she has been at risk of exposure for some time. The latest news is that she is on mandatory quarantine because it has been confirmed that she has been directly exposed to COVID-19. At this time, she is not demonstrating any symptoms. Let us pray for her health and provision as well as the provision of all of our missionaries as they minister to those in the most need.
