Weekly Highlights, July 21, 2022

Join us this Sunday at 10:00am as we gather for worship and fellowship. We will continue our series in the Gospel of Mark. Our scripture passage is Mark 14:1-11, and the sermon is titled "Extravagant Love." See you Sunday!

Beginning July 6, the Wednesday Community Group will be meeting on Zoom from 7-7:45pm for the summer. There will be a short devotional and a time of prayer. Please email Jon Lanuza for details at jon.lanuza@gracestamford.org. All are welcome.

New day and time! The book club will now be meeting on Sundays after the Worship Service in Taylor Hall until 12:30pm. Join us for 8 weeks as we dive into the book, "This Changes Everything", by Jaquelle Crowe - "These aren't our rebellious years: these are the years we rise up to obey the call of Christ. This isn't our time to slack off: it's our time to stand out. Join us Saturday, August 6th from 5pm - 8pm for an evening of games and fun! Bring your family, friends, and your favorite board game - or check out one of ours! We will have a collection of board games available that everyone can enjoy. For more information, please contact keisha@gracestamford.org

Our annual baptism service and church picnic will be on Sunday, August 14. If you are interested in being baptized as an expression of your faith, please see Pastor Tom. There will be a sign up sheet at the back of the sanctuary to sign up for food items to bring for the picnic. If you do not have a Stamford Beach Pass, meet at the church at 9:00am for shuttle rides to Cove Beach.

Save the date! Join us for Family Movie Night on Saturday, August 20th! Invite your family and friends, bring a blanket, and enjoy our showing of Dreamwork's "Shrek". The evening will begin at 6pm, with the movie beginning promptly at 6:30pm. Popcorn and refreshments will be provided.

We now have a Grace Worship Music Catalog. It includes most of our classics, with a few of our newer songs included as well. The list will continue to be updated as the worship leaders introduce new songs.

Our prayer focus this week is youth and children. Pray for spiritual growth and physical protection for our children and youth over the summer.

Continue to pray for our church family, including: Marilyn Gabriel, Dora Bush, Eloise Mathis, Julian Bosch, Serge Gabriel, Eloise Jordan, Anne Gallo, Anne Ragoonanan, Virginia Jordan, and Rachel Bacon. Pray also for Agar Alcin, Elaine Mehan, John Foster, who are unable to attend.
