“You can’t be a Christian without the church.”
The first time I heard that statement I was caught off-guard by it. I knew of many good people, some who considered themselves Christian, who were not part of any church. They believed in the Lord and received Jesus as Savior and lived good lives.
This Lord’s Day I want to let you know how I’ve come to believe that statement above to be accurate. The church, the called-out people of God, is a necessary part of the life and experience of any person who takes the name of Christ and become a Christian.
This Sunday we are talking about what it means to belong to the fellowship of believers in the church. I hope you can join us in-person or listen on-line. You are always welcome!
Spiritual Gifts Inventory
The Holy Spirit gifts each believer with at least one spiritual gift to be used for the good of the Body of Christ. We are most effective and fulfilled when we work within our giftedness.
You are encouraged to take a simple gifts inventory to identify your gifts and put them to work.

The Alabaster offering was God’s idea modeled after the sacrifice of the woman who anointed Jesus’ head with expensive perfume poured from an alabaster jar (Matthew 26:6-13). She gave something she didn’t need, because of her love for Jesus.
As of 2019, more than US $117.5 million has been given to Alabaster, resulting in almost 10,000 projects for churches/chapels, Bible schools/ school buildings, mission/district centers, hospitals/clinics, missionaries’/national workers’ homes, and properties.
On Sunday, September 11th, we will collect our biannual Alabaster Offering during morning service.
You can pick up your box at the Missions table in the hallway. You can also give to Alabaster by marking your envelope "Alabaster" or online at https://faithlife.com/glnaz/give and choosing the Alabaster fund.
Thank you for your faithful giving!
