WEAKNESS IS STRENGTH

We are continuing our series of messages about Jesus’ paradoxical statements. A paradox is something that, when you look at it, it appears contradictory or absurd … but then, when you look closer, you realize that it actually makes sense in a way that you never saw before.

CHRIST’S POWERFUL WEAKNESS

PAUL’S POWERFUL WEAKNESS (2 Corinthians 12:7b-10)

OUR POWERFUL WEAKNESS

1. Don’t confuse “weakness” and “sin.”

2. Allow it to deepen your dependence on God.

3. Pray for relief, but ultimately defer to God’s will

4. Allow it to humble you

5. Allow it to raise your appreciation for grace.

6. Allow it to give you compassion.

7. Learn the power of sharing it

We all have weaknesses. We all have thorns in our flesh. And most of us spend way too much time worrying about our weaknesses, and covering them up, and being embarrassed about them. It’s time to stop all that. Because those weaknesses are the very thing God wants to use to show His power in lives.
