Memory Verse for August

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, not things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:38-39

Sermon Outline

WHEN JESUS COMES AGAIN

1 Thessalonians 5:1-11

Our text today deals with the coming of Christ, the rapture of the church, the Tribulation, and the end of the age. Paul is addressing the age-old question, “When will Jesus return?” But, he doesn’t give us a definitive answer - but he does teach us a few things about the coming “Day of the Lord.”

JESUS WILL RETURN AT AN UNEXPECTED TIME (vv. 1-3)

JESUS WILL RETURN - SOME WILL NOT BE READY! (vv. 4-8)

JESUS WILL RETURN BRINGING UNDESERVED GRACE (vv. 9-11)
