Welcome to Hope Talk
Distrust can be a good thing. What? What? Well, the reason we lock our doors at night is because we distrust individuals who would like to steal, harm, and invade our homes. We put on our seat belts because we distrust the driving of others. We do our taxes because we distrust others to do them for us, especially the government. The list is huge. Jesus distrusted what was in man. John 2:24,25 But Jesus did not commit Himself to them, because He knew all men, 25 and had no need that anyone should testify of man, for He knew what was in man. He did not commit Himself to man because He did not trust them. Part of training and teaching our children is to give them a balanced and sound understanding of who to trust and who not to trust. When a person comes to a new church, the question in their mind is can I trust this church to teach the Word of God accurately, consistently, and with authority. Distrust can also be a bad thing if we distrust a right person, or one we should trust. Be careful not to fall into a rut of distrust because you have been hurt or harmed so as to distrust everyone. Trust God! Yes. Know who is trustable and who is not. Don’t make people you have made commitments or covenants with earn your trust. “Trust is earned” can be very conflicted. Be careful to whom you give your trust. That also sounds conflicting… it is. It is never right to not trust God. That is the essence of Faith, saving Faith, sanctifying Faith, and securing Faith. Ask God for wisdom and grace to love.

We are grateful for your continued giving. Remember when you give, a portion of your gift goes to missions. We have tried to make giving as easy as possible. There are at least four ways that you can give.
- There are offering boxes at the front of the sanctuary. Just drop your offering as you come in or when you are leaving.
- There is "text to give". Just text the word GIVE and the amount to (864) 300-0368 and follow the steps.
- There is online giving. Just go to our web page and follow the steps.
- You can use bill pay through your bank.
Of course you can always just drop it in the mail (1002 S Buncombe Rd, Greer SC 29651). Again thank you for your continued generosity. We are very grateful!
