Welcome to Hope Talk
Relationships. How are yours? So often we are not committed to the relationships that are in our lives and can walk away from them too easily. God brought individuals into your life so that you could become more like Jesus through them. Not all easy. Not all fun. Not all delightful. But all are chosen to develop your soul into learning more about Jesus in your everyday life. Not all relationships are meant to last for your entire life, but the lessons are meant to be there for that length. By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren (1John 3:16). God calls us to love. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another (1John 4:11). A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another (John 13:34). This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends (John 15:12,13). Most relationships end because we do not know how to deal with the problems in the relationships. We have to be good at dealing with them in a mature and godly fashion without an emotionally immature fashion. That type of love comes from a mature heart that has dealt with the personal past of pain and sees others as images of God rather than tools to use in getting what we want. How do you view the relationships God has brought to you? Are they tools for you or are they creations of God for His glory? Now that is a tough question for you to be honest with in considering this topic. Again, how are your relationships? How are your closest ones? Are you vulnerable, honest, and humble? Much on this to consider and evaluate. Ask a friend to be honest with you and evaluate the health of your relationships, because God calls us to love one another. Consider.
