Welcome to Hope Talk
May is here! Much to tell you. How do you like the new format? Its part of our Faithlife interaction. We continue to work in using Faithlife to communicate with all the church, LifeGroups, Students, Childrens, and announcements. Bit by Bit.
Please note. We at Hope do not judge one another based on decisions concerning the Coronavirus. You must make the call for yourself. We do not look to others and see what they are doing, we do not criticize them, but we do what we believe is the wise and right thing in all the decisions. Masks, gatherings, distancing… all are personal to each one so come to your conclusion, live it out, and be done with it.
For Sunday. Love for Hope Chapel and the community has set us on a course of Live streaming our services. We still have that love but we are also not forbidden to meet on Sunday according to both the Federal and State plans as long as we use wise measures. So, we will have church on Sunday on grounds. If you are at high risk, uncomfortable, sick… please stay home and watch the live streaming of the service. If you are low risk, comfortable, healthy… please know you are welcome to come to the church at 10am for our Worship service. If you come to Hope on Sunday, we will have everyone in the sanctuary and enjoy worshipping the Lord with the entire family. This will change our worship songs, preaching, and format. Enjoy it!
For clarification. I need for all of us to understand a few things of truth to hold to…
1. We meet as a church because God told us that we are not to forsake the assembly of yourselves together (Heb.10:25) which means that regardless of authorities over us, we are to meet. This is a demand from God.
2. We are to obey the authorities in matters of non-spiritual matters with kindness. Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities… appointed by God (Rom.13:1) We have sought to do this also.
3. I believe that we have a friendly government which calls us to prayer in difficult times and does not take our freedoms away in arenas that are improper or vicious. I am thankful for this. Let us pray that God grants wisdom, truth, and justice to stay a part of this relationship.
The elders and deacons are excited to present the following for membership at Hope Chapel:

Monthly Prayer Meeting
Men's and Women's Prayer Meeting
This Saturday, May 2nd at 8:30 men and women will be meeting at the church to do a prayer walk around Hope Chapel and specifically praying for our church family, for direction, guidance and wisdom, and for our nation. If you would like to swing by Bojangles early or somewhere else and grab breakfast feel free and bring to church.
We want to stay in contact and inform as much possible with you all about coming events. Due to the current situation, we are prayerfully considering all factors.
Due to the current circumstances, for next two weeks there will be no youth group.
According to our church documents all Deacons are to be placed before the congregation for 30 days to give an opportunity for the church members to voice a reason to reconsider the nominee. The Elders have put forward the following individuals as Deacons and are asking the members of Hope to prayerfully consider them as such. If for any reason you have questions to their character, life, or reputation according to 1 Timothy 3:8-13, please contact the Elders (Will Lohnes, Greg Page, Ian Pruden, Mark Nestberg).
