Welcome to Hope Talk
I love the name of our church. Hope Chapel. We need to remember that our God is called the “God of Hope” in Romans 15:13, Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Let those words soak in your soul. So our God is hope and we are to abound in hope as His children. We are to abound in hope because our God Who has made us His children take on aspects of His character, view, and thought. We are not talking about “hope so” stuff in which we want certain things to happen, certain things to occur. A better understanding is assurance, we have the assurance in God that He has loved us before creating us, and given us a new name, and many other things listed in Ephesians 1:3-14: We are chosen, predestined, accepted, redeemed, enlightened, obtained inheritance, sealed, secured in Christ! Now take some time to understand all of those. Our hope is not in this world, nation, family, or friends. It is in Jesus Christ Who alone rules the universe and calls all things unto Himself. AND we can give hope to others in the Name of Jesus as we share with them the beauty of His will, word, and way in our lives. Eternity is simply a display of His love for us. We will live with Him without any hope as we will enjoy faith becoming sight, hope becoming reality, and continuous love abiding in our hearts forever. These are things to remember every day we look at the things on earth. Keep your eyes on Jesus.
We will celebrate more members to Hope this Sunday with the Woods and Mills joining. An update on our Endeavor (relocation) as we are waiting on God to ensure a buyer so we can honor Him with our hearts and lives. Pray that God will bring an assured and ample buyer soon so we can move forward. Thanks.
