    16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

    INTRODUCTION

    I was reading at the beginning of the year a phrase that said; a man's education is incomplete if he does not know the Bible. And I thought that this phrase should be a principle for us Christian families, especially those of us who are raising sons and daughters. Many of us have come to know Christ as adults and perhaps we were not taught as children to study, or know the Bible, as was my case. However, we should not use the argument of past experience to not motivate us to start doing ourselves what we may never have been encouraged to do.
    I grew up in a completely different environment than my wife. She grew up in a Christian home, her dad is an evangelist, a great preacher whom I admire very much, her grandfather has been preaching this book for many years. So she grew up in an environment in which she was taught the Word of God as a child. She was saved when she was only 4 years old and since then she was learning to love God and serve Him with all her heart, in fact I met her in Venezuela 14 years ago when she was a young girl and what I admired the most was to see her desire to serve and glorify God.
    In my case I grew up in a dysfunctional home, my dad was not a Christian and neither was my mom, they grew up in an environment without the Word of God. As a child, I remember many things about my parents, but sometimes what I remember most is watching them fight and hurt each other. There was nothing more painful to me than watching them fight, listening to their screams. When I was eight years old my parents divorced and I don't remember a night when I didn't miss my dad.
    When I was 18 years old after hearing the gospel I understood that I needed Christ because I was a sinner and that decision I made that day not only gave me salvation but also transformed me and taught me to love God, to love His Word and also taught me to love the Church among other things taught me to love my wife and my children, so much so that I understood the importance of the Word of God in our lives.
    I could not change my past, but I could change my future and I thank God that His grace reached me when I was a young man.
    And today I am here to tell you that you can too. I don't know what your experience is and the environment in which you live, but what I do know is that God's grace is sufficient and can transform your life as well.
    But you have to convince yourself that the text that we just read from the Bible is true.

    The text tells several truths but I only want to highlight two of them which are important for our Christian faith.

    GOD GIVED US THE BIBLE

    In the first place, all Scripture is inspired, the word inspired, literally in easy to understand words, means that God Himself produced it that is the meaning of the greek word θεόπνευστος (THEOPNEUSTOS) translated Inspiration in our Bible.
    the second truth that I want to emphasize is that everything that God has produced in this Book is useful. I like this word better than the word profitable. No only because is easy for me to said it but because this is exactly what the greek word means.
    That is the word that our Spanish Bible use in this verse, to indicate us that the entired Bible that was given by God is a useful tool. Here me and many others had faund eternal life and the salvation thru Christ alone.
    Reading the Bible, studying it and knowing it should be part of our lifestyle now that we are believers. But sometimes we do not come to the Bible because we think that this is not the right thing to do.
    Some people will think that the Bible is boring and spending time in this Book is an unwise thing to do.
    Let me tell you rith now, if you believe that, you are the unwise one. Do you believe that God will create something that we do not need?
    If HE created this Book is because you and I need it. And the most important thing that you and I can do is come to this useful Book and aplied it to us, love it, reed but no only reed, but also study and spent time with God´s Word.
    Christian Schools are a perfect ally to collaborate with the teaching of the Bible to our children. And I believe that is one of the reason why your parents enrolled you here. Beacuse they want the best for you but God wants to saved you and he died for you on the cross and has risen again to provide you salvation if you belived in Him alone today.
    So if you are a Christian you should be thankfull to God for this great opportunity that you have here, no only to learn some educational sciences wich is good but because also you can learn from the Bible. And this is the better topic that we can provide you because we know that you need and will need for your life.

    A man's education is incomplete if he does not know the Bible.

    Is this what you really want? a life without God is painful and you do not want it so please do not try it.
