The Victorious Life

How to Live a Life of Victory

Have you ever been frustrated from trying so hard yet accomplishing so little? Sure, we all have at some point or the other. But I have good news for you. You can live a life of victory!

1. Drawing Versus Doing

One of the greatest problems in Christianity today is that we do not recognize the power that is inside of us.

We like to do and fail to draw. So we look like we are accomplishing things on the outside but lack the peace that comes from resting on the inside.

Do you know Who lives within you? Do you really know that you are the Temple of God?

If you did, you would live in a constant state of victory over the world, flesh, and the devil.

1 Corinthians 3:16 says, “Do you not know that you are the temple

of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?”

1 Corinthians 6:19 says, Or do you not know that your body is the

temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God,

and you are not your own?

When do we become the Temple of God? The moment we are born

again!

Ephesians 1:13 says, “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the

word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having

believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,”

1 John 4:4 says, “You are of God, little children, and have overcome

them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the

world.”

Who is in us? The Holy Spirit! The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, the Throughout the entire Word of God we see the Holy Spirit moving,

empowering, filling, and baptizing God’s people.

In creation He was hovering over the waters

The Holy Spirit came upon Moses

David was anointed by the Holy Spirit

Samson was filled with the Holy Spirit

Prophets were inspired by the Holy Spirit

Many were gifted by the Holy Spirit

Jesus was conceived through the Holy Spirit

Jesus had the Spirit of God come upon Him in the form of a

dove

The Holy Spirit raised up Jesus Christ from the dead

The church was empowered with the Holy Spirit on the day of

Pentecost

Every miracle ever done was through the power of the Holy

Spirit

Love, joy, peace, gentleness, kindness, meekness, self control

is the fruit of the Holy Spirit

All gifts to the church of tongues, dreams, prophecy, faith,

miracles were given through the Holy Spirit

We are now the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit

third member of the Godhead.

Acts 10:38 says, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”

Now, the Holy Spirit lives inside of the church. You are not alone! You are not helpless. You have everything you need. You must cease

doing and start drawing from the power within you!

But, how do I draw from the well of the Holy Spirit and live in victory?

2. Dying Versus Trying

The secret to walking in victory is not in trying harder but in dying sooner. What? What do you mean by dying?

My friends, if you would realize when Christ died, you died with Him. It is not something you must do, it is something that is done!

As a believer in Jesus Christ we must cease trying so hard to have victory, and realize we already have the victory. The moment we cease trying is when we begin to walk in the Spirit.

Jesus said if a man would die he would bring forth much fruit.

Illustration: “God I can’t quit!”

After 20 years of trying to quit smoking a man fell down on his knees and said, "God, I can't quit!" He got up and never smoked again.

God wants you to stop trying. He wants you to stop fighting. The battle is the Lords. He has given you the victory. You are the Temple of the Holy Spirit. Everything you need is from within you. Every lack you have He has more than enough. For every, “I can’t” He says to you, “I can do all things through Christ...”

“The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you!

You’re an overcomer! “Greater is He that lives in you!” Just yield to Holy Spirit right now. Say, “Yes!!!”

Amen! Amen!
