About this group
Please pray.Friday evening, Arlene Cheyney (Retired VMer’s her and Ray were long time DR’s) was riding in a car when a truck ran a red light and T-boned the car. She suffered 4 broken ribs, fractured pelvis, collapsed lung, internal bleeding, and has a broken wrist. She is in ICU and stable but the breathing issue is a concern should it turn to pneumonia. Please be praying.
- Here, is an update for Arlene: Yesterday she found out she has five cracks in her pelvis. The big issue is that she has a collapsed lung and so has diminished capacity and energy to do what she needs for PT. This morning her lung capacity has improved a bit so that is a positive step forward. She will have surgery on her wrist tomorrow evening. Her blood numbers are good after a transfusion yesterday so the internal bleeding seems to be healing. She is in good spirits but very tired and in pain when she moves. They are considering moving her from ICU to a Progressive care unit if this continues to improve and then eventually to the Rehab Unit at Penny Farms Community. We are encouraged with the news this morning but there is a very long ways to go.Thanks for praying,
