Procedures Each Week

Al will email the bulletin to a group of people who may (or may not) need it that week. All five of you will be in this group. If you haven’t gotten the bulletin by Saturday feel free to email or call to remind me. It is always done by Friday morning.
Spend some time preparing the PowerPoint. If I can get it to you in advance regularly it is nice when you have time to make an attractive presentation. Feel free to find backgrounds that enhance the music, center the music nicely, and break the lines up at easy to read spots to make it easier to sing.
Arrive at the church around 10:00 - 10:15, and speak to me immediately to get any special instructions. Prior to arriving take a look at the bulletin so you can ask any questions about problems you have found, or odd things I might have included. I will tell you which microphones will be needed and where they are located. See Mary Ellen to get a permanent Sacristy and AV Room Key.
Start that week’s pre-service slide show. Adam can help with this. He puts together a combination of interesting church pictures, church announcements, and slides stating our purpose statement, mission statement, and other interesting facts about the church that begin running around 10:25 until the service starts.
If someone can get it organized, I would also like to softly play church music until Kay starts the prelude.
If you are ready for the service before it begins take a few minutes to say a prayer. Ask God to keep your mind sharp so that your work flows with the service smoothly, and adds to the beauty of worship.
Finally, worship while you work. Please don’t play games or be involved in other distractions. Hum or sing the hymns, speak the prayers, etc. and participate as fully as possible in the worship service. Thank you for your help in this ministry.
