• Morphology I just finished Understanding and using Morphology. The information from John is phenomenal then created a morphology collection, which I shared in documents. If anyone has time to go through it let me know if it is useful or not. Thanks.
    1. Can you share the link to John's Morphology teaching? Thanks

    3. You may have to type that into the address bar in your preferred web browser. I know I had to type in on my device.
  • When building a Personal Book is there any way to change the defualt Bible version either for the whole article or for a particular verse in the article. For example, let's say your defualt bible is the RSV and the Article that your saving quotes the ESV, is there a way to change the default Bible just for that Article? Or let's say that an Article calls out one verse in the ESV; is it possible to change that one verse to the ESV?
    1. There is a young man (married with small children), ordained and doing pulpit supply at times, at our church who doesn't have Logos. I have limited resources, but I would like to help him get Logos to get started. I was given Logos years ago, and it has been a phenomenal tool, although I don't really make full use of it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
      1. Somehow I've changed a setting and now when I hover over a verse, it comes up in the Hebrew. How do I change it to a different resource?

Jill, it looks like your prioritized resources somehow put AFAT as your number one bible. Check and make sure your top bible is in the number one slot.
        2. Most likely your prioritized Bible was changed. To correct, please do the following: 1) Click the library icon (stack of 3 books at the top left) 2) Click the stop light menu (3 vertical dots) at the top right of the library window 3) Choose 'prioritize resources' from the menu 4) Drag and drop your preferred English bible from the list to the very top or drag and drop your preferred English bible from the library list at the left. NOTE: you can search for your Bible with the library search to find your preferred English bible more easily.
        3. Thank you. I couldn't remember where to set my preferred Bible. I set it up a few years ago.
      2. Have a blessed July4!

      3. In John’s Webinar on the Word of the Lord, he links to my Christology video on Vimeo. I changed hosting platforms to Rumble a while back. Here’s the link to the video: https://rumble.com/vd2xpz-essential-bible-doctrines-part-2-christology.html
        1. Many thanks to you Nathan for all of your kindnesses here.

I am a Roman Catholic. I am also a Roman Catholic priest who has been given permission to no longer minister in a parish and to have a family. I married an amazing spouse and have three amazing children. I downloaded and started to watch the Catholic/Protestant video (part5 of 5) which was being offered for free and I was immediately stunned by the anti-Catholic views of the presenter. Not sure where to go with this but it certainly didn't rouse me to an enthusiastic dialogue with my fellow Christians. I have an MDiv (University of Toronto) and a B.S.T. (St. Paul's University, Ottawa) and I can assure you that there is little in this video that has merit except to try and protolyze Catholics into leaving their faith. Views such as these only divide and make no attempt to unite our Christian churches. We should be trying to build bridges of understanding and reconciliation not creating divisions and animosity.
        1. I was able to jump around a little bit in the video, from what I saw and heard the OP stands correct. This is a presentation designed to proselytize Catholics. He seems to be attacking every place Rome disagrees with Reformed groups. Which means, the presenter seems to indicate that the majority of Christendom is simply not Christian. I'm Lutheran, some of what was said goes against Lutheranism as well, not even mentioning Orthodox. I like most of the learnlogos material, but I can't recommend this particular video.
        2. I was raised in the Roman cult, but God graciously rescued me 40 years ago. I would suggest that you read two books: "A Woman Rides the Beast" and "The Gospel According to Rome." The first gives the history of the long corruption in the Roman cult. The second puts Roman doctrine side-by-side with the Gospel. Sola Scriptura!
        3. , what Logos resources would you recommend as a source of true Catholic-Protestant dialogue? Thanks!
