- May The Peoples Praise You
- Fairest Lord Jesus
- Jesus Thank You
- Come Behold the Wondrous Mystery
Our sermon text this morning is found in Isaiah 56:1,6-8. In thispassage we read of God's declaration that His salvation will come toforeigners and outcasts. This fits our thinking of God as a loving andgracious being, but it also forces us to considerwhat people constitute these groups. You might be surprised at theanswer!
God in His mercy has made salvation available for all mankind. Today,by Hisgrace may we believe, receive and rejoice in this salvation.
Serving Christ alongside you,
Pastor Kirk Thorson
We are celebrating, today, the call of God’s invitation to “all nations,” not just the Jewish people to which His inheritance was originally promised. Pay attention to some key phrases within our service. Phrases like:
- “...bringing many sons to glory...”
- “...let the nations be glad...”
- “...Your enemy You’ve made Your friend...”
God has graciously invited us to come to Him. Oh, that you would not reject that invitation today! As we receive His promises and grace during corporate worship today, may the Holy Spirit soften your heart to His call.

We invite you to join us for these events as well as for a pizza party following the Sunday School hour on Fall Kickoff Sunday. All of the congregation is welcome to attend the meal, we just request that you give a freewill offering to help offset some of the costs.

1. Exclusivity - Many Jews in Isaiah's day believed that the salvation of God was only for them - as descendants of Abraham.
2. Arrogance -The Jews believed they deserved God's goodness and favor based on their own merit.
3.Tension exists of two seemingly opposite ideas.
a.In one sense of thinking, we don't deserve to belong to God. We are foreigners and strangers and outcasts.
b.Scripture declares that God gathers the outcast and brings them into His dwelling
