  • Hi Friends, God has been reminding me of His love and kindness by answering small  seemingly insignificant prayers.  Bruce was having a hard time sleeping and consequently so were the rest of us. This was going on for about two weeks and just when I thought I couldn't handle one more night of  sleeplessness, God answered our prayers and Bruce started being able to fall asleep quite easily.  Praise God!
    • If you haven't already, please take action and help defund Planned Parenthood. Go to the link below and submit a request for your senator to stop all federal funds to Planned Parenthood. This is so important! It only takes a minute. https://secure3.convio.net/aulact/site/Advocacy;jsessionid=F98B693135531004B537B51234EBFEEC.app350b?cmd=display&page=UserAction&id=921 The most innocent human beings are being slaughtered by the masses daily around the world. It hurts to think about it! It is easy to know it is wrong, but not feel like we can do anything about it. But there are things we can do to help save lives. 1)Talk about it respectfully with others. Many people (including Christians...this used to be true of me), don't really think about abortion and have not been awakened to the real sad truth of it. The word "abortion" kind of takes away the sting of what is really happening, if you don't actually stop and think about what abortion actually is. Keep in mind that many Christian's have had abortions and may be living with guilt, forgetting that Christ has paid the price for all of their sins and they don't need to carry around that guilt anymore. If we aren't careful about how we talk to people about abortion, we may push people away, making them fear that we will judge them without the grace and mercy that is in Christ. We want to attract people to talk to us about the issue. Maybe we can help give hope to an uncertain, expectant mother and offer to do all that we can for her as she cares for her child. 2) Volunteer at a crisis pregnancy center. 3)Sing up for AUL's (American's United for Life) newsletter and stay informed. They also let you know when you can "take action" and add your name to a petition or when you can request that your senator vote to uphold life (even if your senator is pro abortion, it is good for him/her to realize how many people are still valuing the lives of unborn babies and the health of women). 4)Support AUL financially. If you get their newsletter, you are aware that they are the group that is having the greatest tangible impact to save the lives of the unborn. Definitely check them out. 5)Remember to pray. Even when we are busy and our minds are occupied with other things, we can pray a short simple prayer, "God please protect the lives of the unborn and give Your church opportunities to care for mothers in need and orphans. 6)Adopt a child that needs a loving family. Adoption is a beautiful picture of the Gospel. God has adopted us into his royal family through faith in Christ. Yay!

      • Most of you have probably heard about and watched the undercover videos revealing Planned Parenthood's sale of the organs and tissue of babies they have aborted. But in case you haven't, here is a link to the Center for Medical Progress website that has all the released footage. Please share it with other people you know as well. http://www.centerformedicalprogress.org/cmp/investigative-footage/

        • We recently watched a movie called Nuremburg based on the Nuremburg trials of Nazi prisoners of war after the Holocaust. As a parent, the atrocities of the holocaust hit me on a whole new level. The movie talks about how hopefully the Nuremburg trials have stopped history from repeating itself. But the subject of abortion was on our minds as something parallel to the holocaust in so many ways and it is taking the lives of the most innocent members of the human race on a way larger scale. History is repeating itself. This got us thinking about a question that may sound crazy, "why aren't we going to war to fight for an end to this mass murder that is taking place in our lfetime?" We had some thoughts of our own, but i am interested to hear other people's thoughts,so please feel free to share. Also I am very interested in discussing how we can more actively help care for hurting mothers and unwanted children.

          • The other day I took Christian with me to a cafe to play at the table while I was studying. When the waiter came to take our order Chritian asked him, "Do you love God?" The waiter said "Yes, do you?" Christian said, "Yes." Only 3 and already sharing his faith. So proud of my little boy.
