Letter from Pastor Corey
Greetings from my family to yours!
It has been quite some time since we all were able to worship in a church service setting, and I can’t wait until we are able to share those moments again.
As all of you know, COVID-19 has changed the way we function in our personal lives as well as in professional and our church lives. This pandemic has forced the church out of the building and into living rooms all across the globe, the Gospel is spreading into the living rooms, Praise God!
Can you believe it? Even though we mourn those affected by the virus, we praise those who’ve been introduced to the Gospel of Jesus Christ! As we move into the coming months, we will continue to watch the landscape of this pandemic and make determinations as to when we believe its best to restart in-person services.
Last week I preached a sermon about the Church becoming Peacemakers as Jesus taught in the Book of Matthew and the Beatitudes. Afterward, I had several conversations about some of the content I shared about the “God and Country” movement. So, this week we will delve more into this topic and discuss Jesus and Patriotism, as this is a very important topic to understand. Here’s a quote from one of my sources:
“Despite the fact that America was reputedly built on Judeo-Christian values, this seemingly honorable motto is problematic. It fails to promote an ideology that seeks God’s glory and a multinational kingdom while encouraging American citizens to submit to his will. Instead, it turns Jesus into a patriot.”

We are living in a time where the Church has to step up and deliver on the command given us by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Please pray for our Churches, our country, our families, and our communities. There is only one Peacemaker and He has allowed us the Church to share in this wonderful gift. I look forward to seeing you all soon!
We are a community that strongly believes in the power of prayer! Please share your prayer requests by joining our phone call or submitting them here. We will create a list of current prayers for everyone to access on a regular basis.
Thank you for your support!
