The Week of Prayer for International Missions will be observed throughout the Southern Baptist Convention Nov. 28 Dec. 5, 2021. This year’s theme is TOGETHER, WE TRANSFORM LIVES THROUGH PRAYER Paul Chitwood, IMB President, says, There is an urgent need for the gospel to be proclaimed among some of the hardest to reach peoples and places. Every day 155,473 people enter eternity without the hope of Jesus. We are still here, still able to go to them, still able to share with them the most important news in all the world, the most important message they will ever hear. We can still offer help and hope.” During the Week of Prayer we focus on praying for IMB missionaries, their ministries and the unreached people and places they serve. They depend on us for prayer and they depend on the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for financial support. Every penny goes to the missionaries and their ministries.

We are very excited to announce that we will be doing a Weekend VBS this year for ages K4-6th grade. Running the Good Race VBS will be Friday, August 6 (5:30-8:30 pm) and Saturday, Aug. 7 (9:00 am-1:00 pm). We will have a commencement during our Sunday morning Worship Service, and we will finish the weekend with an exciting surprise immediately following the worship service. If you can help in any way, please sign up on the sign-up sheets located at all of the exits. Please include your name, phone number, days you can help, and area in which you would like to volunteer. You must have completed the Worker/Child Protection Training to help. We need volunteers for all areas of VBS. These include…preparing and serving food, crafts, recreation/games, missions, teaching/application, group leaders, registration, nursery (provided for children of VBS workers only), and security.
