Meadows Christian Fellowship
MCF Worship - July 18, 2021
We are glad you joined us today for worship!

“See the man who would not make

    God his refuge,

but trusted in the abundance of his riches

and sought refuge in his own destruction!”

But I am like a green olive tree

    in the house of God.

I trust in the steadfast love of God

    forever and ever.

I will thank you forever,

    because you have done it.

I will wait for your name, for it is good,

in the presence of the godly.

Psalm 52:7-9

Our culture is constantly trying to influence where we place our trust. Trust in yourself! Trust in science! Trust in politics! Trust in wealth!  We are bombarded with this sort of messaging, sometimes overtly and sometimes subtly. But as Christians, we know that the Bible is equally clear in its message. Over and against what our culture says, Scripture tells us to trust in the Lord with all of our heart! Psalm 52:7-9 paints the contrasting picture of the one who trusts in the things of the world versus the one who trusts in the Lord. We gather this week in the house of God as people ready to praise the Lord and to proclaim our trust in his steadfast love forever and ever. We’ll begin with these verses of Scripture and respond together in song with God So Loved and This I Believe.

After a brief welcome and prayer, Pastor Andrew will continue his ON TARGET sermon series exploring the shared value of trust with a message from Colossians 3:8-15 entitled Real Change Builds Trust. We’ll sing together in response to affirm that Christ Is Enough. To conclude our time of worship this week we will pray for our Giving, and be sent out with some brief Announcements and a Benediction. As always, tell us how we can be praying for you. Send your prayer requests to: prayer@meadowsfamily.org.
