Meadows Christian Fellowship
MCF Worship - Oct 02 2022
We're glad you joined us in worship today!

Strengthen the weak hands,

    and make firm the feeble knees.

Say to those who have an anxious heart,

    “Be strong; fear not!

Behold, your God

    will come with vengeance,

with the recompense of God.

    He will come and save you.”

Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened,

    and the ears of the deaf unstopped;

then shall the lame man leap like a deer,

    and the tongue of the mute sing for joy.

Isaiah 35:3-6

Just as we see portrayed by the prophet Isaiah, last week in our sermon text from Matthew we witnessed Jesus healing the blind, and this week we will see him heal the mute. This is our great Savior Jesus Christ. So as we gather in worship this week, if you’re weak, if you’re anxious, the Word says “Be strong, fear not! And behold your God.” As wel hear these words from Isaiah 35 we’ll respond in song with Behold Him. Then the prophet continues in Isaiah 35:8-10 with a picture of the redeemed walking the “Way of Holiness” singing for joy. As those redeemed through the saving work of Christ, we’ll worship and sing for joy Christ Is Mine Forevermore and God Is For Us.

After a prayer for our Giving and a few Announcements, we’ll have a special Kids’ Time and some activity bags for all of our young worshipers. Then, the next message in our Kingdom Come sermon series comes from Matthew 9:32-34 as Mark Barnes opens the Word to bring us the story of how Jesus Heals A Man Unable To Speak.  After the message, we will join voices to proclaim There’s Nothing That Our God Can’t Do and close our service with a Benediction.

Do you need prayer? Please let us know how we can be praying for you. You can drop a prayer request card in the giving box in the atrium, or send your prayer requests to: prayer@meadowsfamily.org
