Why do we gather to shout for joy to the Lord, to begin each week with praise and worship of him? Psalm 33 gives us answers: because of his Word, because of his righteousness and faithfulness, because of his steadfast love. When we see God for who he is and all he does, we can’t help but give him the praise and worship that he deserves!

This week we’ll begin with a Call to Worship from Psalm 33, expressing these amazing truths about the Lord and proclaiming the call to come to him with joy and praise, and prompting us to sing It Is Well With My Soul. Then, Psalm 56:10-13 further confirms our faith in the Lord and our response of worship to him. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ he has delivered us from death so that we may walk before him in the light of life! This gospel truth prompts us to lift our voices to sing The Lion And The Lamb and Christ Is Mine Forevermore.

Following our time of worship through Scripture and song, we will pray over our Giving and have a few brief Announcements. We’re also excited to have a Minute for Missions featuring the Fagerlie family, followed by a fun and engaging Kids’ Time for all of our young worshipers. (Kids, don’t forget to grab your activity bag!) Then, I’ll have the privilege of continuing our sermon series, With His Wounds We Are Healed, with a message from Isaiah 53:4-6. We’ll respond to the Word together with a song of faith in Christ, proclaiming that we believe that he has saved us from sin and death Once And For All. Lastly, we’ll be dismissed with a parting word from the Scriptures in our closing Benediction. And don’t forget to stay after the service for our Fellowship Lunch!
