Hey Meadows,
Another story to encourage you of what God is doing at Meadows!
A month ago, Cindy Goding and Heather Barnes took a retreat to Michigan, where they spent a weekend in prayer, God’s word, and seeking the Lord for fresh vision for this next season for the women at Meadows.
As Elders, we are thankful for both of these women and their hearts to lead and serve the women and love on them. As Elders, we are excited for what God is doing in our women’s ministry.

Cruise Nights Volunteer Meeting, 5/1
There will be an informational lunch meeting for Cruise Nights volunteers after service this Sunday in the Narthex.
Whether you already signed up to volunteer or are interested in volunteering for this ministry, save the date and join us.
In order to ensure we have enough food, please email cruisenights@meadowsfamily.org to let Larry and Melinda know you will be there.
We still need volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering but can't attend the meeting this Sunday, please submit a volunteer sign-up form via this link, Volunteer for Cruise Nights or pick-up a form at the Summer Serving Opportunities kiosk in the atrium. Please leave completed forms at the Welcome Center Desk.

Caring Friends Carnival Care Fest, May 7th
Just a reminder, if you registered for the Carnival Care Fest it's next Saturday, May 7th!
Each registered guest will receive one free lunch ticket and raffle ticket for a chance to win one of our themed gift baskets. Additional tickets will be available to purchase that day.
Sharon Rickerson will be at the Welcome Center after service this Sunday to answer questions or email her at sharon@meadowsfamily.org

Registration for VBS is Open
Meadows Family, registration for VBS On The Case is now open. We are planning a variety of activities to engage the children's creativity and curiosity while investigating the mysterious meanings behind a few of the famous stories Jesus told . Please register children between ages 3 -entering 5th grade at On The Case VBS Registration. Due to capacity limits, registrations are due by May 6th.
All volunteers should register at On The Case VBS Registration . We are asking God to allow our church to reach many children through our VBS program. Please consider volunteering your time and talents.

Women's Ministry Event, 5/20
All women are invited to MCF for Koinonia on Friday, May 20th.
Koinonia means to gather together as a fellowship of believers. This will be a special time of worship as we celebrate the end of the 2021-2022 ministry year. We will- Gather, Eat, Share, and Pray. Come and enjoy an evening together hearing how women have experienced God move this year.
Dinner will be provided. In order to ensure we order enough food, please register here, Koinonia Registration, by May 16th.

A time for men to gather together to discuss the Gospel of Luke.
We meet in the Narthex
We are discussing "Walk by Faith, Not by Sight". Class meets in the Loft.
A time for women to gather around the Word, pray, and build relationships with one another.
Students in grades 6-12 come for a time of discipleship that includes games and Bible study designed to help our youth grow to know, love, and become like Jesus!

The Lord loves a cheerful giver
Tomorrow we have our business meeting where we affirm a new elder and vote to accept the budget. You should have received an email with the budget attached 2 weeks ago. Look for it in your inbox from Mary Crook. We will have a hardcopy at the meeting tomorrow if you need it. We will meet from 11-12 and enjoy a delicious meal prepared by Dewight Johnson. He is an answer to prayer please make sure to thank him (and all our volunteers) for their service. Let's especially thank Tim Copeland and Jim Herold for their service as Elders. Don't forget to thank Mary for all her hard work learning so much and embracing updating the website and using her creative gifts and gifs of administration.

You can see in the above graphic that we have much to be thankful for as a church. You all are a testimony to the Bible verse above. I can tell that you prayerfully consider what you will give. You will find out tomorrow that our finances are in good standing and ready for the new fiscal year and all that it holds. It is a blessing to report on our March finances with 104% of the YTD budget met. It’s great to see that we will finish this fiscal year strong with more than a 3 month reserve available for the future.
