A Note from Pastor Steven
Milford First United Methodist Church,
At long last, my back surgery is just around the corner. In final preparation, Sara and I are going away for some rest beginning Thursday, May 19, returning in time for surgery, which is scheduled for Wednesday June 1. I will be undergoing a lumbar fusion procedure at the Mayfield Surgical Center. We have been told recovery can take anywhere between 4 to 8 weeks, depending on healing and the patient. My return to the church depends on my body and my surgeon’s decision to release me from recovery status.
While I am away, everything we have been doing, as well as everything we have planned to start, will continue under the leadership of our excellent staff. We have lined up some remarkable speakers to lead worship and preach the Word for both services, on the Sundays of my absence. I have every confidence in the team we have assembled and I know our time of worship promises to be a meaningful and inspiring experience for all of us.
For now, I ask for your prayers; prayers for Sara, my chief care-giver, Dr. Kachman, my surgeon and his medical staff, and prayers for me as I seek to cooperate with the healing of my body. Please know you are ALL in my prayers.
Blessings in Technicolor,
Pastor Steven J Rodgers
