The Reedy Baptist Church was organized in the summer of 1869 under a large oak tree near St. Paul's Church. Church leaders of Mt. Oni and Reedy decided to build the church together, but due to a misunderstanding, the union was not formed. The first Reedy Church was a log building. When the members became dissatisfied with the log building, a frame church was built.

The current pastor of Reedy Baptist Church is, Reverend Claybon Collins, Jr., the thirteenth pastor to date. We are a small church which God has planted on the side of Dry Bridge Road, up on the hill to be a beacon of light to the lost of the world. The Word of God is taught and preached each Sunday of the year. Come see the glorious work of the Lord.
