• I set up a set of visual filters for major words and phrases in Isaiah. However, I forgot to add "pride OR arrogance" as a search string in that filter. How can I reopen the filter to add that string?
    1. Hi Steven, You can access Visual Filters through Documents. Each may be opened for any changes.
    2. Hello Steven, Open your Documents and click 'Type' and select 'Visual Filter' and from the resultant list find your Isaiah filter. Open it and put in your edit. It saves automatically.
    3. Both of those responses are correct. It's a little confusing sometimes because visual filters are checkboxes in the visual filters menu that can be applied--but they come from lots of places (datasets, notes, etc.). However, you are creating a visual filter that gets saved as a document, which is why its accessible there and can be applied using the visual filters icon (looks like 3 cannonballs stacked). Thanks to and for the assist!
  • O.K., I went and got the ten bucks a month Pro Plan. I love the searches that you get in the pro plan. They are worlds ahead of the regular searches. I highly recommend going pro if you can see a way to get the ten bucks. You will not look back if you do.
    1. Amen! That's a very good deal. How did you get $9.99 per month. It's at $49.99 per month when I visited the site.
    2. $49.99 a month is for MP Seminars not Logos Pro.
    3.  — Edited

That's correct - Logos' current offer is only for those with the full feature set (or with faithlife connect excluding starter / mobile) -- for $9.99/mo. Remember, this only includes access to the Logos Pro features (most of which use AI) and for a handful of books you'd have access to as part of the program. All your other books and features you still own -- but represent a baseline investment you've already made into Logos. Brand new Logos users who didn't already buy at least the L10 full feature set (which comes standard with Logos 10 gold and up) -- won't have access to the new Logos Pro features at this time.
  • I'm trying to do a "search syntax" for places where Jesus went and was interactive with people in those places. Ex. Matt: 20- Jesus heals the two blind men.
    1. Hi Marcus. You might start with the Bible Browser tool, which allows you to use the filters on the left side for all kinds of things. Biblical people/places, combining the use of those filters with datasets like speaker and addressee. If you're a subscriber to mpseminars.com we have a great session on using the Bible Browser in Camp Logos for Logos 10. You can also do a Bible search with terms like place:Jerusalem AND person:Jesus (which will show you verses that include both tags). Lots of advanced techniques can be used in searching, which is covered in Camp Logos 2 for Logos 10, also available to our subscribers.
  • O.K. Just where do I go to take a look at the new "Pro" features?
    1. I would suggest you go to the MPSeminars site, log in, and look in My Dashboard under News for IMPORTANT: Logos Version 32 Update Introduction (probably the top line).
    2. Mark is correct. We'll also be doing a webinar most likely in early to mid April that will demo these features as well, so stay tuned!
  • Re the “Pro” future - here are my prognostications, worth about as much as that 5-syllable word might imply … I read the language that reposted here, to mean the “Pro” subscription will gradually (over a couple-year cycle) release new features, likely in a barely-post-beta form. Thus the “pro” users are essentially “gamma testers”. Then, as I read it, a “package” of these features (as we are all used to seeing) ie L11, L12 etc, will be released every couple of years - and the “new” features will likely be more bulletproof since the pro users will have guinea-pigged them out. The benefits to Logos the company are obvious - they get “paid twice” for new feature release - gradually by “Pro” subscribers and then again during the package release times. And of course the Pro subscribers also get AI cloud features. I’d further guess that the “basic tier” for Pro will be the AI stuff since that’s its core justification. The next (or alternate) level would be the full cloud emulation of the PC version (at least as close as the current online version comes). Those two levels might be independently selectable. To that, they could add some subsets of the various tradition / metal levels (maybe all of them?). My wild guess is that the max subscription price would likely be at least $250/mo, and maybe as high as $400-500/mo, for the “Ultimate” package (if they offer that) - or for multiple-tradition Portfolio levels. Of course I have absolutely no inside knowledge - I’m just thinking how I might structure it from a coding and marketing standpoint if I were them, leveraging their existing (pretty amazing) sales tools to best advantage. That approach, from my perspective, would be wonderful for all concerned. Those who want AI can get it but others don’t pay hidden costs for it. Those who want the shiny new stuff quickly can get it and test it. Those who prefer buying packages on a slower cycle get more mature products. And Logos makes more money by selling things twice. Win win win.
    1. 250 and up a month. Another toy for the rich seeker friendly church builders to play with.
  • When can we expect MP SEMINARS to do some video training on the benefits of the new Logos which is being soft released? I would like to have some knowledge before committing to a monthly subscription.
    1. The expectation to receive video training on the benefits of Logos … there is nothing better than trying it and you can cancel anytime… $9.99 a month come on.
    2. Thanks Gregory, I thought for a minute there that you might be speaking of discipleship, which is a command to do, instead of the Logos resources which are optional.
    3. Gregory, it seems MP SEMINARS was understanding of my request. They jumped right on presenting a video introduction to the features.
  • After creating a commentary series that has many different commentaries, I would like to improve its functionality regarding link sets. Some of the commentaries in the series cover multiple books of the bible, especially the minor prophets. Some of them overlap and when linked to my preferred bible Logos doesn't reference the resource of my choosing. Does anybody have any suggestions?
    1. Hey Steve - clarify a bit more. Are you saying that within your personalized "Series" you have selected an individual commentary (call it AAA) that includes e.g. (Jonah, Miciah, & Nahum) specifically for the book of Miciah, but there is another individual commentary (call it BBB) that includes e.g.(Obadiah & Jonah) specifically for the book of Jonah. However, when link sets are created between your? preferred bible and your personalized commentary series, and you focus on a verse in Jonah, the corresponding link set commentary goes to (AAA - Jonah) versus (BBB - Jonah)?
    2. May want to try a combination of Series & Collections. If you take one or two that are "very" versified, i.e. each verse has a comment or a lot of verses have individual comments, these will link well to the Bible. Then build a Collection including all the ones you like, including the ones in the Series, and tag that Collection "Show in All Parallel Resources" (upper right corner of Collection panel) Now when the linked recourse moves with the verses, you can easily move through all the Collection resources with the left/right arrows and stay in the same panel. The only downside is when you arrow into a Parallel Collection resource that has a verse range, or that verse is missing, the link will move to that verse in the Bible and take you off the desired Bible verse. The corrective action before moving to the next parallel resource, is just select the desired Bible verse again and proceed through all the paralleled resources in your collection.
    3. you might also want to try this -- open your library, then open the prioritization sidebar. Right click on any given commentary (or set) and right click - check out the Set Prioritization Limits (Advanced) options and see if those might be helpful based on your goals.
  • How do I receive free monthly webinars from Mo seminars?
    1. You can sign up for our newsletter here: https://mpseminars.com/sign-up/ ...you'll receive notifications of monthly webinars via email. Blessings!
  • In one of the webinars or trainings that I viewed there was a suggestion to link two resources like BDAG & HALOT and by doing so have both Greek and Hebrew support available. I cannot remember the steps to do that and I can't find the video clip that covered it. Anyone have success doing that?
    1. What you are looking for is the Series Your Books in Camp 2 for Logos 10. I did it. It works well. However, I don't remember the process.
    2. Thank you so much for the encouragement! is correct. Here's the video (you need to be logged in): https://mpseminars.com/course/camp-logos-2-for-logos-10/section/organize-your-books-3/lesson/series-your-books-2/
    3. Got it. Thank you very much. Great refresher on a little used skill.
  • Really enjoying the Weekly Workouts. A great new feature of membership.
