Greeting: Rev. J. Kenneth Byrd
Announcements:
We are pleased to announce that Blaine Pittman was unanimously voted in for the open position of Director of Church Music & Education.
Blaine Pittman came to Nashville Baptist Church on May 1, 2020 and we are pleased to have such a talented and anointed young man working with us!
Blaine was the victim of a terrible automobile accident earlier this month which placed him in the Critical Care Unit. We are pleased to share that Blaine has made progress in his recovery, but know he has a long road ahead of him.
Please continue to pray for Blaine as he works through his rehabilitation.
A GoFundMe account has been opened for Blaine. You may donate to help cover his medical costs by clicking here.
Nashville has also established a benevolence fund for Blaine's needed care. You may send donations to Nashville Baptist Church at 512 E. Washington St. Nashville, NC 27856 or give online to the benevolence fund by clicking here.

Call to Worship: Rev. Byrd
We gather to worship God,
who loved us before we were yet born,
who knows us even better than we know ourselves,
whose presence never leaves us,
and whose love for us never ceases.
This is our God.
Let’s worship together!

Thy Kingdom come. They will be done,
On Earth as it is in heaven.

As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Call to Prayer:
We no longer need to live as slaves to our sinful natures.
Sin has no claim on us anymore,
because through the power of the Holy Spirit,
we have put to death our old ways of acting and thinking.
We have been given new life as God’s own children.
God, who is gracious, is forgiving.
Feel the presence of the peace of Christ
as we join our hearts in prayer . . .

Commission & Blessing:
As we close this service, do not forget:
There is nowhere we can go where God is not.
Everywhere we go, God goes before us.
From the farthest ocean to the highest mountain,
from the heights of joy to the depths of despair—
wherever we find ourselves, God is already there.
So go in peace, for we do not go alone. Amen.
