If any man is in Christ..
    2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV - Anglicised
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
    1. Adam and Eve sold us into slavery to the law which is the knowledge of good and evil

    1. Adam and Eve sold us into slavery to the law

The law is the knowledge of good and evil
, There is only one standard of good and evil..
    Genesis 3:1–7 NIV - Anglicised
Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’ ” “You will not surely die,” the serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realised that they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
The man has now become like one of us
    Genesis 3:22 NIV - Anglicised
And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live for ever.”
    2. Jesus Freed Us from the Law of Sin When He Died and Rose Again

    2. Jesus Freed Us from the Law of Sin When He Died and Rose Again

Took away the law by nailing it to the cross
    Colossians 2:13–14 NIV - Anglicised
When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having cancelled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross.
Power of sin is the law
    1 Corinthians 15:56 NIV - Anglicised
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
Christ is the end of the law
    Romans 10:4 NIV - Anglicised
Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
    3. The Resurrection Is about a New Way of Life

    3. The Resurrection Is about a New Way of Life

The new way of the Spirit
    Romans 7:6 NIV - Anglicised
But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.
      Walk in the Spirit
    Galatians 5:16 NIV - Anglicised
So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature.
If by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body
    Romans 8:13 NIV - Anglicised
For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live,
    4. There Is Resurrection Power for Those Who Believe

    4. There Is Resurrection Power for Those Who Believe

      Power for those who believe
    Ephesians 1:17–19 NIV - Anglicised
I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength,
To him who believes all things are possible
    Mark 9:23 NIV - Anglicised
“ ‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for him who believes.”
      Faith comes by hearing
    Romans 10:17 NIV - Anglicised
Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.
Transformed by the renewing of our minds.
    Romans 12:2 NIV - Anglicised
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
    TIME TO START OVER
The Year of the Lord's Favor
    Isaiah 61:1–11 NIV - Anglicised
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendour. They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations. Aliens will shepherd your flocks; foreigners will work your fields and vineyards. And you will be called priests of the Lord, you will be named ministers of our God. You will feed on the wealth of nations, and in their riches you will boast. Instead of their shame my people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, and everlasting joy will be theirs. “For I, the Lord, love justice; I hate robbery and iniquity. In my faithfulness I will reward them and make an everlasting covenant with them. Their descendants will be known among the nations and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge that they are a people the Lord has blessed.” I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. For as the soil makes the young plant come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations.
Get off the old way of self and get into God's mission of love for us...
We must submit to being a recipient of God's mission to love....

The Spirit of is upon me to:

    1. Preach good news
    2. Bind up the broken hearted
    3. Proclaim freedom
    4. To comfort all who mourn
    5. Provide for those who grieve in Zion
    6. Give them crown of beauty instead of ashes
    7. Oil of gladness instead of mourning
    8. Garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair
Our main issue is changing the way we think..
The main problem with the Israelites was how they thought about themselves... They were free but were still slaves in their minds..
