- Please pray for the Kelly family that we have known and grown to love over the many years as they go through some difficult times. On August 3rd, Susan (Mom), Bethany, and Jeremiah were in a bad car accident. We are deeply saddened to share that Susan did not recover from her injuries. She is with Jesus. We miss her greatly, but we know she is with her Savior. Jeremiah is doing well. He has some hip pain, but is doing well. He came home from the hospital on Thursday. Bethany had emergency surgery to stop internal bleeding here in Des Moines. She is stable. She is currently in Iowa City had surgery on Friday and is recovering. Please pray.
Please continue to pray for me. I've been having severe headaches for over a month. A recent MRI shows there is "extra-axial fluid collections that may represent bilateral subdural hygromas with proteinaceous material and/or chronic subdural hemorrhage". As I understand it, this means there's fluid between my skull and brain, pushing down on my brain. It may have been triggered by the blood-thinners they have me on. I'm scheduled to go into the neurologist on 3/18/21. Please pray there will be no permanent damage, and that this can be resolved/healed without surgery or further complications. Thanks.- Thanks for everyone who's been praying. The headaches have greatly diminished. The neurologist said the fluid between my brain and skull was likely caused by a combination of the blood-thinners, and perhaps some kind of trauma. There's no evidence of permanent brain damage, and they think the fluid should gradually go away with time. They just told me to take it easy and wait it out.
