Partaking of the Bread and Cup
The bread which we break,
Is it not a means of sharing in the body of Christ?
The cup of blessing which we bless,
Is it not a means of sharing in the blood of Christ?
Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body,
For we all partake of one bread.
Prayer of Thanksgiving
Most gentle God, you have fed us this day with your holy word and life-giving bread. May we continue to discern your calls in life, family, community, and in the movements of our hearts. May we always be among those who worship you in spirit and in truth. We ask this through the intercession of all those who gave their lives that others may have bread and a better quality of life. Amen.
