The Frontline Report - June 2022

Return to the United States

Your words were found and I ate them, and Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; For I am called by Your name, O Lord God of hosts.

-Jeremiah 15:16 (New King James Version)

Greetings,

The Translator Training Course1 is complete! The Pamosu translators headed back home with all the tools they needed and plans to start translating Mark and Matthew. The translators will split into smaller groups to translate each of the Gospels they chose to begin, and work more closely together on translating a portion of Genesis required for the next Translator Training Course. They have the ability to communicate with Jason as needed and at predetermined points along their translation paths.

With the training course and the Carwile children’s school finished up for the year, we headed to the United States of America. Due to some miscommunication and some flight delays Jason traveled around the world near the Arctic and over the Atlantic ocean while Brenda and the children went through the Philippines and over the Pacific Ocean. How sweet it was to meet up again in San Francisco!

We have been very grateful for the family, food, and sleep waiting for us with great welcome in the U.S.A. We look forward to seeing many of you face-to-face. To better reach us, Jason now has the cell number: 707 908-2139 and Brenda the number:

406 898-7008 so we can be a local call in either state!

The third week of July the Carwile family will head over to Orlando, Florida for a week at the Wycliffe USA headquarters. This time will allow for solidarity and perspective through contact with fellow missionaries, as well as a chance to better understand the changes both the organization and the United States of America have undergone in the past four years.

Please join us in prayer for meetings the Pamosu are having this month concerning language helpers, back translators, and literacy workers. This is growth and change at its finest, and as interest grows in seeing the community literate and with access to God’s Word, we pray that men and women will gladly fill these roles and welcome God’s gospel transformation in their own lives as well.

For His Glorious Name,

Jason & Brenda Carwile

Due to a delay between returning flights, Brenda and the children had a chance to visit with Bible translators in the Philippines and were encouraged by the good work going on in that country.

It has been a year of milestones! Not only is Jason's high school class 20th reunion approaching, but Jason and Brenda have been married for 10 years and just reached the 10 year mark with Wycliffe Bible Translators! Here is our first prayer card for serving in PNG.
