      1. While our default policy is that when Lakers closes we cancel church, circumstances sometimes vary. Given the improving weather forcast for tonight, we will have our typical Wednesday evening programing this evening starting at 6 pm. Please use your judgement in venturing out. If you are in need of a ride, please contact Emily.
        1. Praise Report: First we’d like to thank you so much for your prayers on behalf of Lindsay Abraham. They really felt your prayers and want to express their sincere gratitude. Surgery went very well on Tuesday; surgeons called it perfect and seamless -told them it was textbook and that their prayers worked! He just got discharged! Now for recovery to continue. There’s no place like home for that to take place. Again, thank you for your prayers.
          1. Praise God for the good news
        2. Once again we have a weather related cancellation. All Wednesday activities have been cancelled for today. Ladies sewing, potluck, & classes will resume next week. Stay warm and safe!
          1. We are asking our church family to pray for our dear friend, Lindsay Abraham, who has been hospitalized due to internal bleeding and complications from pre-op medications as well as his weakened condition and is awaiting a TAVR surgery to replace his aortic valve on Tuesday. Thank you in advance for your prayers for Lindsay and his wife Debra.
            1. Your prayers are appreciated for two requests: 1. Kim Swartzendruber's grandson, Dylan will have shoulder surgery at McLaren in Pontiac at noon today. Please pray for complete recovery. 2. Barry Maust received a call from his brother Kevin, that Dawn's nephew fell 25 ft yesterday while at work. He passed away from the injuries. Prayers are appreciated for this young man's family as they grieve his death. Thank you for your care and concern.
              1. I am praying for both concerns.
              2. Oh my Barry! Prayers. Mrs. Kim- we’re lifting the young man up, trusting for a good procedure and recovery.
            2. Due to the weather and road conditions Pigeon River will NOT have Ladies Sewing this afternoon, or Wednesday eve activities. Make plans to resume our regular Wednesday evening services on January 17th @ 6 pm.
              1. As we continue to pray for Brian Simmons healing, many are asking how we as a congregation can support the family. Below are some suggestions... Questions or want to schedule something call: Elaine Maust (601) 917-2248 (Elaine has been at the house with the little girls.) Beth Maurer (989)285-2442 Ideas to help the Simmons family out... - Offer to take Joanna to Flint - Go to Flint to drop off a hot gourmet breakfast or large London fog beverage and leave (she doesn't care for fast food and visitation remains limited) - Be on stand by for Evelee's school runs (They are covered this week) - Take Amelia or Evelee separately on a shopping trip to keep their mind occupied. - Rides to youth group for Evelee, - Someone to come over and take the little girls and the dog to the playground. Or for a play date. - Make a meal, breakfast or lunch is also good. - Make a donation to the sharing fund for the Simmons family. - Rides to all PRMC functions for Hispanics (Elaine usually does this but needs help at this time to be available for the Simmons) - Attend Todos Amigos events in Elaine’s place to continue building relationships.
                1. I can do school runs on Mondays and Fridays
              2. You are invited to join the group at Pigeon River for a New Year's eve party in the Youth Room beginning at 5 pm. Plan to stay till midnight to welcome the New Year or however long your eyes can stay open. Bring a snack to share (drinks will be provided) and table games. You can watch football games, play table games or fellowship with friends. Hope to see you there.
