A Call to Prayer

On December 1st, the Supreme Court of the United States heard oral arguments in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. In this case, the court will be determining whether Mississippi can ban elective abortions after 15 weeks of gestation. Some of the questions the Justices will be considering strike right at the core of Roe v. Wade—which legalized abortion in 1973—signifying that they may overturn Roe and return the power of abortion regulation to the people. The decision is expected this summer and after 49 years and over 61 million babies lost to abortion, America could finally see the end to the needless destruction of children in the womb. Every Friday, please join us as we pray for the Supreme Court Justices who will be deciding whether or not the unborn will be allowed their God-given right to life. Members of the Court: Chief Justice John Roberts, Justice Clarence Thomas, Justice Stephen G. Breyer, Justice Samuel A. Alito, Justice Sonia Sotomayor, Justice Elana Kagan, Justice Neil M. Gorsuch, Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh, Justice Amy Coney Barrett.

The Faithfully Fit have completed their program for the year with a healthy potluck celebration. We enjoyed some tasty dishes! The people who had the most exercise were: Sandy Gnagey, Matthew McIntosh, and Lynn Maust. Those who lost the most weight were: Corey Oeschger, Kevin Gnagey and Dave Maurer. The Faithfully Fit group posted 72,673 minutes of exercise which converts to 3634 miles. As a group the 28 people lost 194 pounds in the three month program. Great job everyone!

The Gospel Echoes singing group will be here next Sunday evening at 7 pm to share their ministry work in prisons throughout the US. Come and bring a friend.

MCC has taken this need seriously and provides resources for churches that have a passion to help those who are seeking a safer place to live. Come at 6 pm if you would like to watch the recording of an earlier webinar. At 7 pm there will be a discussion and discernment time. Please be in prayer about how we can help.
