IMPORTANT: When it comes to creating Logos books, almost everything worth reading is a PDF, requiring a conversion to Word. Unfortunately, PDF to Word conversion programs invert the Hebrew. This means the Logos user has to spend hours recreating the Hebrew in Word before uploading to Logos... or forgo adding any PDFs to Logos books. Can Logos help with this by either allowing for direct PDF to Logos book upload or creating a Logos PDF to Word app inside Logos that keeps the original languages intact?
- Silence demonstrates the need for a Logos solution to this problem. Morris Proctor, sir, is there a way to accomplish this [see above]? And if not can you forward this thread to whomever it may concern at Logos? There needs to be a Logos PDF to Word converter or Logos needs to have the ability to go straight from PDF to Logos Personal Books. Outside converters reverse the Hebrew making the book unusable inside Logos. Maybe the solution is not even a personal book but a Logos PDF reader that will allow attaching the PDF to Scripture. All the best sir! Idk, just trying to help. I know the issue is more complicated than that. God bless.
- Suggest filing bug reports with outside pdf to word converters about complex text handling. Initial attempt of converting Marquette pdf (Prince 9.0 creation) using LibreOffice 5.4.2 Draw replicated Hebrew directional issue. Apologies since did not purchase any commercial pdf to word convertors to see if Hebrew directional issue also occurs in them. Faithlife already includes Chromium Embedded Framework (CEF) in applications. CEF has PDF viewer so idea of "attaching" pdf to verse(s) for viewing in Logos is intriguing so replied to Logos 8 Wishlist => https://community.logos.com/forums/p/148421/928760.aspx#928760
- You rock my friend! Thank you for your effort. I'm thankful the Body of Christ has people like you! God Bless! P.S. I've tried several free converters. No dice. If any of the pay for converters out there solve the directional issue, they don't advertise it. It makes me think this is a very narrow problem effecting niche group (i.e. seminary/Church people). Not only that, but off the top of my head... the only people I can think of who would be converting a Hebrew PDF to Word, are Logos customers (i.e. if you don't have Logos, you're probably fine with your PDFs the way they are). It is possible this may be a problem only Logos can solve. Thank you again for your help!
