October 10, 2017 Battles Worth Fighting What does it take for one to prepare for a battle? In the army we know it takes some extensive training to prepare for battles. They don’t train for one battle but they train for all of them. Why? Because with the right amount of training and understanding of who or what the enemy is every battle has the potential to be won. To overcome any battle it takes everything in a person achieve victory. One has to be mentally prepped, emotionally stable, physically able to handle it, and spiritually woke through the Holy Ghost to win. The phenomenal thing about it is how Jesus has laid the foundation for us to achieve victory. Every battle you are confronted you have enough grace to see you through, thanks to His sufficient amount given. Then there are battles where God weighs the weight of it and waits on you to lay it aside realizing that He won’t put more on you than you can bear. Some battles you face are set up for you to give it over to the Lord just so He can continue to demonstrate how He never leaves you nor forsakes you. There may be a battle you’re encountering right now that exceeds your ability to manage and has caused you so much sorrow and pain. Take it to the Lord, give it to Him and watch Him work it out. I must add though in case you don’t see an immediate response wait on the Lord, be of good courage and wait. He knows the right response and timing that will bless you as well as bring Him glory. Those battles of the past you’ve faced and won, thank Him! Your present battle, praise Him as you go through it. For every future battle trust that God has already seen you through being that He’s already promised you the victory. So thank Him for what He’s done, praise Him for what He’s doing, and trust Him for the victory. 2 Chronicles 20:17, “Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see -- the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you.” ~Minister Poet~
