- I really enjoyed this discussion along with all the others as well. I know that eventually, Luther decided to marry and as I understand it he married a former Nun and this breakout causes many other priests to do the same. Could you give me the approximate dates as to when his marriage was made public?
- Martin Luther married Katharina on June 13, 1525, before witnesses including Justus Jonas, Johannes Bugenhagen, and Barbara and Lucas Cranach the Elder.
- Thanks for the exact date there. One thing I learned about Luther that really surprised me was his hatred for the Jewish people and I was not aware of this until reading some of "On the Jews and Their Lies"
