I am a longtime Logos user (since version 1.3 on floppy discs!) I rely on Logos for my work, now in exegesis for Bible translation. Am I the only one where it has suddenly stopped working with Windows 10? I have had limited success contacting customer support who don't seem to appreciate that downloading Windows updates may be easy in Europe but certainly isn't in rural Africa. After a lot of effort I have now downloaded KB4048953 and have had four attempts to reinstall Logos but it always reaches 162MB (complete) and disappears. HELP!
- thanks for the tip, Zachary. is that even possible on a computer that was sold with Windows 8? I agree, Windows 7 was all round much quicker and more effective.
- do you have the latest updates to windows 10
- I didn't have, no, and Logos admitted that was the problem WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO WORK ONLINE WITH LOGOS ON A SLOW CONNECTION. 6 weeks later, with both Windows 10 version 1709 sent to me by hand from the UK on memory sticks, and then Logos downloaded for me by a wonderful IT colleague in my organisation and also sent by hand from the UK to Burkina Faso because I have NO chance of large downloads here, I can finally use Logos again. BE WARNED: if you have a poor connection DO NOT RISK trying to work online - it could be disastrous. I have asked Faithlife to issue a public warning since they acknowledge the problem.
