Good Afternoon,
I'm rather frustrated with the limited ... amount of videos we can show. We have very often special speakers and missionaries that want to show their video DVD's and flash drives. Why is proclaim not showing the video in the DVD section when you try and import it. This is huuuuuge for us with videos. Yes we enjoy your videos. We would like to embed our own in the proclaim presentation. Hoping for some answers.
- Hey Aaron Finley I do apologize for the frustration as there might of been some confusion on our end. DVD's can't be imported into Proclaim, but you can burn them to your computer. Just be aware of copyright rules. Essentially, you need to be able to save that movie file to your computer and then you can import that file into Proclaim. Otherwise, you can insert the DVD and use MediaPlayer and switch between Proclaim and your MediaPlayer window. Are these videos by any chance on Youtube or a website at all?
- If you have rights, or if it is for personal use, you can use Handbrake to rip videos off of DVDs and then import those video files into Proclaim.
- Hi Aaron Finley, Fred Sprinkle beat me to it. I am always pleasantly surprised by how many creators of videos who gladly give the rights to use their videos (either on DVD or downloaded from the 'net) for use in a Sunday church service. Handbrake is invaluable to us as we rip videos from DVD often. Another good tool is a video downloader (for us because internet can be spotty in our mountain community). We meet in a converted theater and use the big screen for videos every week. Plus I create countdowns and other videos, often using media from the internet. I contact the creators of different media and/or music and most are happy that I'd like to use their creations. Some ask that we give a credit in the video that is shown (which I'm only too happy to do).
