Feature request:
I don't think Proclaim allows different slide transitions within a song or item.
99% of the time, I use the fade transition. But, when a slide is repeated, the fade transition does not provide any visual cue that the slide has changed or advanced. In those situations, I like to use a more dynamic transition to provide a visual cue that the slide has indeed advanced.
So, I would like to see a feature added where different slide transitions can be used WITHIN a song or item in Proclaim.
To accomplish that while not overly complicating the UI, I suggest adding a 'Secondary Transition' option. Proclaim could then use the secondary transition whenever the next slide is the same as the current slide. Thus, my goal is all automated without even needing to think about it when building the slideshow.
Attached is a mock-up that I made from some photo-shopped screenshots demonstrating my idea and how it could be implemented.
A more flexible approach would be to allow different transitions per slide, but I think that would make the user interface more complicated.
- Hi Arlin Sandbulte, Thanks for the suggestion! I'll pass this information on the developers. Also as a quick side note I wanted to share a link with you where you can post ideas and suggestions and even have people vote on your idea.
- Thanks Slav, I had forgotten about that website. I added this as a feature request there. To anyone else, if you like this feature request head over there and VOTE for it!
