One of the greatest criticisms of the church is hypocrisy. In the Apostle Paul’s letter to the church in Colossae we find a picture of a community living their faith with authenticity. In this 4-week study, we will examine the letter to the Colossians, while setting up a real-life experiment to see if/how we can insert specific practices that might help us to live our faith with greater congruency.
The Table meets on Wednesdays at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church (1720 Harris Ave., B’ham). For those who can make it, we will start with a shared meal at 5:30p. Bring a dish to share if you are able. This is followed by children and adult classes from 6–7p. The children of The Table participate in Godly Play, a curriculum that helps kids explore the Christian faith with story, wonder, and play.
