We are examining Proclaim for purchase. Our worship uses a lot of liturgy (call and response words between worship leader and people). It doesn't feel like the content slides are suitable to create these slides but I may just need further info. Can someone point me to any more detailed instructions for editing content slides (I've looked through the printed instructions and the video instructions)? I can create the worship liturgy in powerpoint and import the slides, but it feels like duplicative work. Any help? Maybe Proclaim is not the software for our worship?
- I have been using Proclaim for a few years now and I name my presentations based on the the Christian calendar (we use the revised common lectionary, 3 year cycle) i.e. Lent year A, 1. That way I can search for a presentation from that season and duplicate it to have the proper colors, call to worship, scripture readings, etc. that I need for the current week.
- We are a Lutheran congregation in Corvallis, Oregon, and have used Proclaim for a number of years now. I keep 'tweaking' things but have basically created a template for each of the services we tend to use (DS1, DS2, etc.). I then use that as my basis as I begin a new service. The time spent creating a template is well worth it in the end. I do keep messing around as I learn new things and I rarely use the same background (theme) each week. I really like Mark P's idea of naming the services with the lectionary but it takes three years to get back around to the beginning :) I name the services: 030120 - DS1 - 1st Sun in Lent. I can then search for DS1 or the particular Sunday. Blessings as you embark on this project :)
- I was wanting to try the 'Emphasis text' option that was mentioned above by Steven Stoops but I don't seem to have (or can't find) that option on my screen. Any help is greatly appreciated :)
