As we finalize plans to live stream our morning (9:30am) and evening (5pm) Sunday services on March 22, 29, and April 5, I thought it would be prudent to provide some instruction and options regarding tithing.
As you know, everything is from God and everything belongs to God. Giving of tithes and offerings is a humble, thankful response to the providence and the grace of God. It is a demonstration of our love and devotion and service to him. It is required and an act of worship.
Since we are not meeting together for the next few weeks, we wanted to provide a few temporary methods for you to continue to worship through the giving of God’s tithe and your offerings.
Option 1
You can mail a Bank Check to the church at the following address:
Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church
15321 Wayzata Blvd
Wayzata, MN 55391
Option 2
You can electronically transfer funds to the church using Venmo. The user name is @GSPCMinnetonka. The church treasurer and an officer of the church will then complete the transfer to the church’s bank account. Also, if you’d like to direct the transfer (or a portion of the transfer) to the Deacon’s Fund, then you can add "Deacon's Fund" and the amount in the Venmo comment box, similar to a comment placed on a bank check.
If prompted, enter 3250 as the last 4 digits of the GSPC account phone number. If you are having trouble, please contact Edwin Stephenson or Jonathan Neighbors.
Venmo does have weekly spending limits. If this applies to you, then you will need to split the transfer across multiple weeks or simply send a Bank check (option 1).
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind" (2 Tim. 1:7).
