Does anyone know how to limit the frequency occurrences when doing a morph search? For example, I would like to know how many present, active or mid./pass. indicatives occur in 1 Corinthians at least 5x's. I can set the parts of speech up (@VP[AU]), choose my search range (1 Cor.) and source (NA28), but I can't figure out how to limit the search results so that I don't have 705 results in 326 verses.
- You can't limit the number of results based on frequency in the Morph Search as it is designed to return all matching results in a range. But you can do this in the Concordance Tool if you have access to it as per the screenshot below But while you can't limit the number of occurrences in the Morph search you can switch to Analysis view, group by Greek Lemma and then just examine the "top" results (second screenshot) (Note - in screenshots the results are different as one is including the Indicative constraint while the other is not)
- Graham, thank you so much for your insight. I'll see what I can come up with with how you proposed. I know the syntax search has various features that will limit frequencies of words but I have also hit roadblocks with that giving me the results. Makes me wonder if I'm doing something wrong with that too.
